Born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, in 1947, Jon Rhodes grew up in Brisbane in a family where his uncle, father and brother all practised as photographers, and taught and encouraged Jon to do the same.
Jon has produced three major exhibitions which trace the development of his work within Aboriginal communities in Arnhem Land, in the south east Kimberley, and in Pintubi Western Desert country south west of Balgo, on the border between the Northern Territory and Western Australia …
