Marina graduated from the ANU School of Art in Canberra in 2005. Since that time she has been graduate in residence at the Canberra Contemporary Art Space Residency Program and at Megalo Printworks, and has participated in a number of solo and group shows in the past year.
In BLAZE 2006, an exhibition curated by David Broker at the Canberra Contemporary Art Space, Broker writes:
“Neilson creates a comprehensive and intimate experience of the object and then takes the audience through that experience to create something that is as much philosophical as it is physical.”
