Clara-Clara (1983) was acquired by the City of Paris when it was planned for the forum of the Pompidou Centre at the time of his 1983 retrospective. After years in storage, at last it has been located in the Jardin des Tuileries (along with about 100 other examples of outdoor sculptures), and it makes a splendid contribution to the primarily axis of Paris which runs from the Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe. They take their axes seriously in this capital.
